A few pics from our trip to Vancouver this last weekend. None of the pics of the city turned out well, but did get a few nice ones from Lynn Canyon and Blaine, Washington.
I meant to post this earlier this week, but for those interested in info about the Palestinian elections, I would recommend the electronic intifada's election coverage. You might also visit the International Solidarity Movement's website. Both give a little different perspective than CNN or The Newshour with Jim Leher.
On American Experience tonight they had an interesting documentary on Martin Luther King Jr. At one point they show reporters asking him to comment on the Watts riots, which occurred just a few days after King was at the White House while Lyndon Johnson signed the Voting Rights Act. While he reaffirms his commitment to non-violence, he also in very frank terms points out that when people have been oppressed for so long, they are going to react violently.
